Los Boliches is a district on the eastern side of Fuengirola, on Andalucía's Costa del Sol in the province of Malaga. It grew from a fishing quarter into a lively residential and holiday area. The district runs along the coast, with a broad sandy beach and a seafront promenade lined with cafés, bars and restaurants. Fuengirola's town centre, port and shops are a short walk or bus ride away.
Daily life here is relaxed and convenient. Supermarkets, local shops, schools and health services are close at hand, and the area stays busy outside the summer months. Many British and other northern European residents live here alongside Spanish families. The mild climate and walkable streets make it popular with retirees, families and holiday-home owners. Getting there from the UK is easy. Malaga Airport has frequent flights from many UK airports. The Cercanías commuter train links the airport and Malaga city with Fuengirola and has a stop in Los Boliches itself, so a car is not essential.
