Sant Llorenç de Balafia is a peaceful inland village in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja, in Ibiza's unspoilt north-east. It centres on a whitewashed church, and nearby is the historic hamlet of Balafia with its old defence towers. The area is known for farmland, pine-covered hills and a relaxed rural pace. Santa Eulària, Sant Joan and the island's northern beaches are all within easy driving distance, and a car is recommended.
