Goñar is a peaceful village in the municipality of Huércal-Overa, on the Almería and Murcia border. It is about 12 minutes from the market towns of Huércal-Overa and Puerto Lumbreras, which have supermarkets, restaurants, leisure facilities and a hospital. The beaches of Mojácar and San Juan de los Terreros are around 35 to 40 minutes away.
